"I Search" is basically a research project for 2nd graders. Alex was allowed to choose a topic that he was really interested in and research it. He then had to make a display board to show off what he learned. The 2nd graders only get a completion ribbon.

Lex picked out the pictures he wanted to use. He glued them to the board and labeled them all by himself. It was an excellent project.

Jonny had to complete a science fair project. His project was titled, "Does Wax Color Affect the Burning Time of a Candle?". He did so well that his project advanced onto the regional science fair later this month. There were only 8 children in his school to advance to regionals. They were children from both the 5th & 6th Grades. It is really exciting for him. I will have to post pictures of his project as soon as the science fair is over. For now, we just have the blue ribbon!

And, here are a few more of Jonny's accomplishments:
-He drew a picture of his school that was so good that it is going to be featured as the back cover of his school yearbook
-He took mid-year testing and is performing above the 7th-Grade level (he is in 5th grade)
-He scored during his basketball game this week - his team is undefeated
-He was commended by his teacher for consistently assisting a special needs child in his class (She said that Jonny is an excellent leader and always protects this child and makes sure that others treat him with respect.)
I couldn't be prouder of my boys!
