Classic Waterslides: Summer 2009

Man! My boys had better never tell me they're bored. I've got about 950 pictures on my camera of these two hams since the beginning of summer. They're spoiled.

Here we are at Classic Water Slides. Thank you Grandpa L.J. for keeping them entertained. LOL

This video makes me laugh everytime I watch it. Watch Grandpa L.J. get flipped over on the final curve of the water slide!

Hoogle Zoo: Grampa's Work Party

Lex's favorite animals are turtles and penguins. He sure got to see get his fill of them at the zoo for Grampa L.J.'s work party. Fun Times!!!

Sky Concert at Weber State : July 2009

I love tradition. Every year, for as long as I can remember, the family goes to Weber State University for the Sky Concert (which is held the 3rd Sunday in July). Once again, we were there to listen to the Symphony and watch the fireworks!

Laguna Niguel/Los Angeles: July 6th-10th

I know its a tough job, but somebody has to do it.

In July I went to California for a few days. It was SOOOO much fun. First, I stayed at the Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel. The property is soooo relaxing. I just lounged at the pool, walked along the beach, and read my books. In the morning and at dusk I whipped out my binoculars and watched the dolphins play with the surfers. It was amazing. At night I went to the Pageant of the Arts and had amazing 5-star dinners. WOW!!! What an amazing show. I can't even describe how cool it is....they're these actors recreating masterpieces live on stage. Look it up...or go see the show. It will blow you away!

Next, I stayed in Marina del Rey. Awesome time at this hotel too! I got a bike from the hotel and was able to ride a bike along the beach. There is a bike trail that winds along the beach from Marina del Rey to Venice Beach, and from Venice Beach up to Santa Monica. I shopped in the little shops in Venice & checked out the muscle builders. Then walked along Santa Monica pier and admired the ocean!

Oh, and what could be more "L.A." then cruising L.A. in a FERRARI! Don't I look good behind the wheel???

Princess Lainey : I'm an AUNT!!!

Ok...so I am already an aunt to Harley, but this is the kiddo on MY side of the family.

Welcome: Rebecca Alaine Patterson 8/9/09
Parents: Lauren & Brent Patterson

I love my little niece. I can't wait for her to get bigger so I can dress her up like a ballerina & put a tiara in her hair! I LOVE being an aunt! It is an awesome, liberating feeling to love a little one SOOO much and know that you can give them back when you are done playing with them.

I call her Lainey. "Rebecca" is a pretty name, but it's hard to shorten when you absolutely H-A-T-E the nicknames Becky and Becca, or WORST of all Rebee. I love the name Alaine! Lainey is short for Alaine...Lauren doesn't care for it, but I do. Princess Lainey!

The boys call her Chewbacca or Chewy. Rebecca = Chewbacca. I guess if I were an 8 year old boy that would sound funny.

Christmas 2008: A Little Late

Christmas 2008 - Here's a few pictures that I stole from Mom's camera.

Lex on Christmas Morning:

Jonny on Christmas Morning:

I should explain the picture of Jonny with a dress. This is an ongoing joke between Jonny and William. Every birthday or Christmas they give each other a little girlie gift...like Barbie, a tiara, a dress, etc. Anyway, the dress & high heels are what Jonny got from Will for Christmas. Jonny is a good sport and models for the camera. Oh, and look at my blog from April to see what Jonny does to his gifts with a paintball gun:

October 2008: Finally

Okay, I know it is September 2009, but here are some picture of 2008 events that I finally got my hands on (I had to STEAL them from my mom's camera).

Halloween:

Halloween:

** Halloween was pretty fun! Pay special attention to Charlie's & Alex's costumes? Why? Because this is the first costume for Charlie in a long line of wardrobe changes. Alex's ghost costume is notable mostly for his pride in his costume choice. We went to a Halloween party with my mom's church. At the party, you could vote on costumes and people would receive awards at the end of the night. Alex did not win any awards and was REALLY offended that no one voted him for "Most Original". He told me that he should have won "Most Original" because he was the only person there who thought to dress like a ghost. It was pretty funny to me. ;-)

My 30th Birthday - Yes I still enjoy cake & ice cream:
