Christmas Preparations

CHRISTMAS SPOILER ALERT—
While making our initial preparations for our holiday vacation I had the boys try on their winter wear last night. Needless to say NOTHING fits. Jonny’s coat from last year barely hit the middle of his forearms. Why do these boys have to keep on growing??? Luckily, Lex now fits into Jonny’s clothes…so at least one of my children will be dressed appropriately! Jonny is going to have to snowboard in cargo shorts and an Abercrombie T-Shirt….haha. Seriously, I haven’t decided what to do about Jonny. I can’t stand that thought of throwing away $100 for a new coat when we live in Arizona!!!! We don’t need snow clothes here!!! Oh well, I should have added new wardrobe to the budget when I decided to go to Utah for 10 days for Christmas!! What do you do??? We aren’t leaving for another week, and I already have 4 suitcases packed…ha ha. I hope you all know that you are getting gift cards for Christmas because nothing else can fit into our bags!!
See you all soon!!! Please don’t let it snow too much!!! You know I hate it cold. There is a reason I moved to Arizona!!! XOXOXO

Desert Ridge Family Photo

The Boys & Me at Desert Ridge playing in the fountain.
The best two things that ever happened to me!

Greece Nov. 2007

Standing on the steps of a temple at Olympia. This is where the medals were presented to the winners of the 1st Olympic games.
WOW! It is amazing how HUGE the original Olympic site was. Did you know the Olympians had a gym, a sauna, a hot tub, and even a hotel???

I know, I know, it looks like a postcard. Here I am at the Korinthos Canal in Korinth. This man-made canal links the Aegean and the Ionian Seas.

It is also in the city of Korinth that I saw a poor, spray-painted dog. Like many European countries, Greece is COVERED in graffiti. Even the animals... Someone had spray painted a poor stray lab cobalt blue.

This first picture is me at a traditional Greek restaraunt. We tasted traditional Greek foods such as roasted lamb and pork. My favorite item on the menu was the Chicken Kabobs which are seasoned with a lemon-salt...Mmmm. There was Baklava & icecream for desert. My beverage of choice was Coca-Cola Light which is quite tasty although not quite as good as my liquid sunshine- Diet Coke w/Lime.

Well, here I am at the Acropolis. It is amazing that these beautiful, incredible structures are still here after 1000's of years. Athens is now my new favorite place....who knew?
