Feedin' Seagulls

Seagulls are nasty, ugly birds. They belong at the ocean and not in Utah! In case your wondering, I really don't like seagulls. However I do like spending quality time with Lex. The other day while Jonny was hanging out with friends, Lex and I took a trip to Commons Park to feed the birds. We walked the entire length of the park (which is way bigger than I thought it was), played at the park, feed the ducks, and chased the seagulls. We also found a seagulls nest on the side of the pond. Two eggs didn't make it, the other two birds had just hatched. Good times - just me & my buddy.

Chalk Art Festival

On our way home from Summer Games in Cedar City we went to the Gateway Mall for the Chalk Art Festival which is a charity benefiting Foster Care in Utah. Since we went around lunch time, many of the 100's of peices were still works in progress...but it is AMAZING to see what some of these people can do with chalk!

Grandpa Brewer's Funeral

My Grandpa Brewer passed away Friday, May 27, 2011. I am really going to miss him. I will remember the farm, the tractor rides, Easter Egg hunts, Christmases, Thanksgiving dinners, war stories, and his infectious smile. I love you sooo much Grandpa.

At his funeral I read life sketch/obituary. I shook the whole time because I was trying not to cry.

The funeral itself was beautiful. Beautiful stories told about an beautiful person. He was buried with military honors for his service in the Navy during WWII where was a member of the Blue Raiders. There was a also a Highland bagpipe service and 21-gun salute. Grandpa was laid to rest by Grandma Florence...reunited after about 45 years.
